I Believe...
• Jesus Christ is the way the truth & the life & is the only way to salvation
(John 14:6)
• Jesus Christ is the sinless son of God (2 Corinthians 5:21)
• Jesus Christ came to this earth, was sinless, dies on the cross, was buried, arose again 3 days later, assended into Heaven, is seated on God's right hand & is coming again some day (1 Corinthians 15:3,4)
• The King James (KJV) Bible is the complete & accurate word of God & is without error (Romans 15:4; 2 Timonthy 3:16;
2 Peter 1:21)
• The trinity consists of: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit (John 15:26,10:30)
• Jesus Christ will return one day to receive those who have accepted Him as Saviour (John 14:13)
• Salvation is grace through faith and is freely given to those who
1) Admit they've sinned (Romans 3:23)
2) Believe that Jesus Christ is the sinless Son of God who came to this earth, died on the cross & arose again to prove that He is God (Acts 16:31)
3) Call upon Him to save them, which is done through a simple prayer asking Him to save them (Romans 10:9)
• Once you're saved, you're always saved (John 10:28)
• Prayer is straight access to the throne of God, no need for a mediator for Jesus Christ is the direct access between God & man (Hebrews 4:16)
• The New Testament is a template for a modern day Christian's life (Romans 15:4)
• The Old Testament practices ended at the cross of Christ 2000 yeas ago (Romans 15:4)
• The earth is over 6000 years old and was created in 6 literal days and a day of rest for the Creator (God) (Genesis 1,2; Colossians 1:16; Romans 1:20; )
• Everything was created for a purpose and is not a mistake (Jeremiah 1:5, 29:11)
• Sin is separation from God (Romans 3:23, 6:23; John 3:3)
• Without the blood of Christ we would not have access to God & to Heaven (Hebrews 9:22)
• Heaven & Hell are both literal places & there is no other option (Luke 16:19-31)
• Eternity begins at death & lasts forever I either Heaven or Hell (Hebrew's 9:27)
• Heaven is for those who accepted Christ as their Saviour (John 3:3)
• Hell is for those who reject Jesus Christ (Revelation 20:15)
• Homosexuality is sin, but God is faithful & just to forgive of sin IF we turn from our sins and turn to Him (Leviticus 20:13; 1 John 1:9)
• Abortion is murder & every life is created for a purpose, no life is a mistake (Job 3:16; Exodus 20:13; Deuteronomy 5:17)
• God does not hate anyone no mater who they are or what they've done (2 Peter 3:9)
• The church consists of a body of believers who come together to praise & worship The Lord as well as to learn from His word & to apply it to our everyday lives (Matthew 18:20; Psalm 122:1)
• Baptism & The Lord's Supper are to 2 ordinances of the church
• Baptism is the next step of obedience following salvation (Acts 2:38,41)
• The Lord's Supper is to be observed often (1 Corinthians 11:26)
• The Lord's Supper represents the blood & body of Christ (1 Corinthians 11: 24-29)
• Baptism symbolizes Christ's death, burial & resurrection as well as being dead in Christ & living eternally because of His death & resurrection (Romans 6:4)
• Drawing closer to God is having a daily walk with Him in prayer & reading/studying His word (Proverbs 8:17; Isaiah 58:2)
• Soul Winning is a direct command from Jesus Christ to those who are saved to reach the lost & lead them to Him (Matthew 16:15,16)
